exciting auction to be held in our spacious Horse Arena.

We will accept consignments of all types of alternative/exotic livestock and birds.
No poisonous animals or unscented skunks.

Accepting Consigments - Friday, May 7  from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm
                                 Saturday, May 8 starting at 7:00 am

WARNING!! We will NOT be accepting any Cervids
(anything out of the deer family or anything out of the elk family) from out of state.

Accepting Consignments of :
RATITES Rhea, Ostrich, Emu
HOOVED STOCK Llama, Alpaca, Buffalo, Zebra, Camel, Minature Horses & Donkeys,
Antelope, Deer, Elk, Sheep, Goats, Cattle, Pigs
CAGED ANIMALS Bear, Cats, Primates, Hedgehogs, Sugar Gliders, Cavies, Rodents,
Rabbits, Furbearers, Hamsters, Wallabies, Fox, Reptiles
BIRDS Perching Birds, Parakeets, Cockatoo, Parrots, Macaws, Pheasant,
Quail, Peafowl, Swan, Geese, Ducks, Turkeys

 

Some animals that we know will be here:

Nice herd of registered and high quality dairy goats; Scottish Hylander cows, calves, and bulls; National show quality llamas.


Consignors:
If possible, please call in your large consignments before sale date, as we have many inquiries.

Please attach a sign to the animal's pen or cage describing the type of consignment, number of head, sex, age, color, etc.
We reserve the right to refuse consignments of caged animals if the visibility of contents is obstructed. No cardboard boxes.

Health Requirements: All animals are required to meet USDA and Indiana Health Regulations (in-state and out-of-state).
Equine: current 1 year Coggins test; Buffalo and Deer: TB and Brucellosis; Deer under 6 months: TB only;
Alpaca, Llama, Cattle: No test in/out of state; Swine: Pseudorabies and Brucellosis; all tested within 30 days prior to sale.
Pollorium test is required for all out-of-state chicken, quail, peafowl, pheasant, and turkey.
All other species need a health certificate. Some animals require a special license or permit, call IBOAH (317-227-0300).

Commissions
Hoofed and Ratites ~ 10%, $10 minimum
All other ~ 20% from 0 - $50.00
                  15% from $50.01 - $200.00
                  10% from $200.00 on up
No sale ~ 5% with a $5 minimum and $25 max

Admission: $5.00 per day or $8.00 for both days.
Buyers can register early for Reserved Seating - $5.00 per day.

Terms of Sale: Cash, Cashier's Check, or Check w/Bank Letter of Credit
All transactions are between the buyer and seller.
The Topeka Livestock Auction and Sale personnel are not responsible for animals, birds, or accidents.
